Terms of service.

Last updated June 11, 2026 · Written to be read, not skimmed past.

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and MemoryOS ("we", "us"), the service at thememoryos.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use MemoryOS. Questions first: support@thememoryos.com.

2. What MemoryOS is

MemoryOS is a memory layer for your AI tools. Tools you connect (like ChatGPT, Claude, or an IDE) can save short summaries of your sessions — dots — to your account and recall them later. You can also view, search, add, and delete dots in the web app.

3. Your account

4. Your content is yours

Dots and everything in them belong to you. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your dots, index them for search, connect them in your graph, and serve them to the tools you connected. That's the whole license. We don't sell your content, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models.

5. Connected tools

When you connect a tool, you authorize it — through your explicit OAuth approval — to save and recall dots on your behalf. What that tool does with recalled content is governed by that tool's own terms. You can disconnect a tool any time from the tool's settings.

6. Plans and billing

7. Fair use

Plan limits are enforced in the service. Don't try to get around them, don't hammer the API in ways that degrade the service for others, and don't attempt to access anyone else's data. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that do.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use MemoryOS to store or distribute content that's illegal, or to harass, defraud, or harm others. Don't probe, scan, or attack the service. That's it — we're not interested in policing what you remember beyond the law's requirements.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep MemoryOS up, but it's provided as is, without an uptime guarantee. Deploys can cause brief interruptions. We may add, change, or retire features; if a change meaningfully reduces what you paid for, you can ask for a prorated refund of the unused period.

10. Ending things

11. Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows: we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $50 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you and note the date at the top at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use MemoryOS after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Contact & law

Questions, disputes, anything: support@thememoryos.com — we genuinely read it. These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
